Poker Live Poker vs. Online Poker
Playing online poker has quickly become a huge hit with poker players all over the globe. The ability to play poker from the comforts of one's home any time of the day or night has definately helped it's popularity. It does come with it's disadvanteges though, especially for those players who pride themselves on their ability to read other players. When you play online there are no faces, just computer animated characters controlled by your opponents. Some players view this type of play as a game of chance rathar than a game of skill. Online player games are controlled electronically. You do not have a choice of when the dealer shuffles making it impossible to count cards or know what cards have already been played.
On the other hand, playing online does have it's benefits. Non-smokers can sit in the comforts of their smoke free homes, temptations from other casino games luring you to them and enticing you to spend more money, and best of all you can play for free if you choose. You can play for amounts some players can only dream of betting.
Whether you play live or online, for money or for free one thing remains the same, you are gambling. Gambling is an addiction for some and should not be taken lightly. |
